Plan to add up to six nationwide to support the growth of on-demand e-commerce delivery
Life Storage, Inc. (NYSE: LSI), a leading national owner and operator of self-storage properties, today announced the launch of its third micro-fulfillment center in Chicago, through its subsidiary, Warehouse Anywhere. This is the second micro-distribution center launch for the strategic alignment between Warehouse Anywhere’s intelligent third-party solution and Deliverr’s technology-based distribution network, improving the processing and delivery of retail orders in line throughout the Midwest..
The partnership allows Deliverr to strategically place e-commerce vendor inventory in the Warehouse Anywhere micro-fulfillment centers. This improves Deliverr’s one-day ground shipping and two-day shipping capabilities.
Warehouse Anywhere used existing commercial space in the Life Storage facility in Chicago to create this 7,000 square foot micro-fulfillment center without any disruption to the facility and its other customers.
Warehouse Anywhere and Deliverr are expanding their partnership and strategically plan to launch up to six additional micro-fulfillment centers over the next year, starting with Orlando and Dallas, as well as an expansion of Warehouse Anywhere’s already existing presence to Atlanta.
