Domestic stock markets are expected to open strong, posting losses from the previous session, on positive global signals. Trends on SGX Nifty indicate an opening gap for the index in India, with a gain of 144 points. As of 7:30 a.m., Nifty futures were trading at 17,772, up 144 points or 0.89%, on the Singapore Stock Exchange. On October 6, the ESB Sensex lost 555.15 points to 59,189.73 and the Nifty lost 176.30 points to 17,646.
