National Association of Mortgage Brokers (NAMB) Inaugurates Kimber White as President of NAMB at the 2020 NAMB National Conference, replacing former President Rocke Andrews, broker / owner of Lending Arizona. White, a partner of RE Financial Service, has been an active member of the mortgage industry for over 30 years and an active member of NAMB for much of the past decade.

“Kimber is a great force in the mortgage industry,” said outgoing NAMB president Rocke Andrews. “His passion and determination are a huge asset to NAMB. As President, Kimber will bring an energy of success that will accelerate the Association in its mission to represent the best interests of our broker community.

With the newly elected executive board, White was sworn in via a live broadcast at NAMB National 2020, normally the largest in-person conference for the mortgage broker community that has gone virtual due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In a powerful speech, White kicked off the NAMB National 2020 on Wednesday, October 14 with a compelling take on NAMB and a call to action from NAMB members and the mortgage industry as a whole.

“I am honored and honored to serve as the new President of NAMB,” said NAMB President Kimber White. “As a gay gentleman taking the helm of the largest and oldest association in our industry, this is a defining moment. NAMB is for everyone. White, black, gay, straight… from any street in America. When we come together at NAMB, we can improve our industry, our businesses, and help more homeownership dreams come true.

White unveiled NAMB’s 2021 strategic plan activating its NAMB for ALL mission, including new fair housing initiatives in collaboration with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac; NAMB University with Certifications and Curriculum for Loan Officers and 16 Hour Veterans: Partnering with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) to ensure schools have financial literacy programs, as well as new tools and marketing to help members grow their businesses, as well as proactive advocacy initiatives in Washington with the two NAMB lobbyists – a Democrat and a Republican.

The newly appointed Board of Directors brings years of industry experience and knowledge and is delighted to usher in this progressive new era for NAMB. The diverse board will support White in the aforementioned initiatives, including LO Concierge (a NAMB member help desk that provides a direct connection to lenders for loan structuring, questions and escalation), as well as an intense campaign. membership to develop the voice of the NAMB in Washington and provide cutting-edge services and tools to its members.

White closed his speech with a farewell request: “My request to you … get involved … bring different ideas … bring new ideas … bring new ideas … bring new minds.” We all serve. We are NAMB for ALL.
