PMD Business Finance has added the former director of sales and marketing for TotalKare to its ever-growing team of commercial finance specialists.
James Radford, who was director of sales and marketing at TotalKare for 29 years before recently becoming a non-executive director, has joined North Manchester-based PMD Business Finance, one of the UK’s largest independent brokers.
During his time at TotalKare, James supplied equipment to bus and coach operators, hauliers, franchised dealer shops and independent repairers. TotalKare are one of the UK market leaders in the supply of heavy duty mobile column lifts, commercial brake testers, stationary lifts, pits and other garage equipment.
James will join PMD as Director of Business Development to focus on developing business finance opportunities with bus and coach operators and carriers.
Commenting on his new role, James said: “During my years at TotalKare I covered sales across the UK and also managed our national accounts for 10 years, as well as setting up and managing of the sales team. I’ve spent a lot of face-to-face time with clients to determine not only which product is right for them technically, but also which is right for them financially.
“Having supplied equipment to customers and always offering an alternative option to outright purchase, with leasing, hire-purchase or hire-purchase formulas, business financing has always interested me.
“I look forward to being able to offer my contacts the full range of business financing services that PMD offers, allowing them to grow at their own pace without any funding restrictions. Facilities include all forms of asset finance, invoice finance, business loans, acquisition finance and real estate finance. PMD’s lending panel currently includes over 150 different financing providers.
